1. Prospective Graduate Students: Dr. Kimel will be reviewing graduate student applications for the 2021-2022 admission cycle, to start in Fall 2022.
To Apply for a graduate school opportunity in the lab:
In addition to following the instructions found on the CSUSM website, please send Dr. Kimel an email outlining your research interests and attach a copy of your CV.
2. Undergraduate Research Assistants:
We are looking for a team of research assistants with a range of experiences and qualifications to assist with a variety of different tasks (e.g. running studies, recruiting participants, designing materials, conducting literature reviews). You do not need to have previous research experience. It is most important that you are interested in psychological science, responsible, detail-oriented, work well with others, highly responsive to email, interested in staying in the lab for at least 1 year and be able to make the weekly lab meeting. RAs must also be able to commit to working in the lab for approximately 10 hours a week. In exchange, you may be eligible to get course credit (Psych 499) for participating and to count this as a psych elective. An ability to speak different languages and experience with design editing software (e.g. photoshop) or computer programming is a plus!
To Apply for an RA opportunity in the lab:
Please email Dr. Kimel (ideally with a copy of your resume or CV) regarding the possibility of Fall 2021 openings!
